Our Story

Shortly after announcing plans to radically expand the Native English Language programs throughout South Korea in late 2001 the Office of Ministry of Education realized they had neither the capacity nor ability to staff all Public Schools with Native English speaking staff. Shortly thereafter the head of the Education Ministry contacted a small but reputable company, KorVia Consulting, which specialized in the hiring and placement of qualified native speakers for a select few schools in the Public School system. Since then, having spread by word of mouth and becoming the #1 recommended agency, KorVia Consulting now works with more candidate teachers throughout the entire Public School system than any other agency in South Korea. In 2008 the Provincial Office of the Ministry of Education honored KorVia by awarding us their official endorsement as the most recommended agency assisting Native English Speaking Teachers and Public Schools with their staffing of Native English speaking positions.

Responsibility

We take our responsibility to both the schools we represent and candidates we help place seriously. KorVia consulting is a registered business on the ground here in Seoul, Korea and in Eugene Oregon, USA. We are a registered business through the US, Canadian, and Australian Embassies. As a responsible member of the expat business community we hold memberships with American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM), and the Better Business Bureau. KorVia Consulting is a proud supporter of the Association of Teachers of English in Korea (ATEK).

At KorVia Consulting we like to think of all our staff and teachers as a large network of teachers, friends, and family. Being a long way from home means we’ll take all the friends we can get! Making Korea our home away from home we like to stay connected with our teachers. KorVia sponsored events are an excellent way to do this and besides….. Nobody parties like a “KoVian”! Networking with other foreigners is one of the best support systems you’ll find while living abroad and getting plugged into the expat scene may be one the best services we have. Coordinating with all of our busy teachers we like to sponsor teacher get togethers' whenever we can. Several times a year we like to catch up with everyone who can make it to share stories, trade helpful information, and just have as good time as we can imagine. Our social networking is a great opportunity to reconnect with everybody and well……have a heck of a great time! Make sure to keep in touch and an eye out for the next shin-dig! From your first conversation with a KorVia staff member till it’s time to say good-bye, KorVia’s service to our teachers is unparalleled.

Service is our commitment, A great experience is our guarantee.

And as we like to say over here………

“Let’s Go Together!!!!”

By now you may have done some homework, looked at the opportunities that South Korea has to offer and decided that South Korea, for you, is the place to be. Making that decision is only half the battle. Getting you from here to there will take time and plenty of professional guidance. Making the life altering decision to work and live abroad should not be treated lightly. Your time spent abroad should be spent exploring new lands, meeting new and exciting people, trying exotic cuisine, creating lasting memories and making great money. We at KorVia Consulting couldn’t agree more and we have the expertise and professionals needed to help make that transition as smooth and seemless as possible. . We are here to assist you in making that transition as smooth, transparent, stress free and profitable as possible.
